The White Willow

The soft, green grass gently swayed, as a slow breeze, drifted through the glade. Along the blades, weaving its way more nimble than the wind, and just as fast, darted a shape. Dark, and featureless, it grew and shrank, to a perfect rhythm, connected by an invisible tie, to its master, far above, among the clouds.

The bird softly pumped its wings up and down, a small twig in her mouth, as she passed over the long glade far below, bound for her soon to be home, in the tall trees beyond the fields.

Spying her tree, by pure instinct alone, among the thousands of tall pines. She started her slow descent downward, careful not to lose the last bit to her little nest among the leaves.

As she spiraled lower and lower, and the trees grew greater in size, the tiny stick in her mouth lost a piece. So small, her wings didn't miss a beat, and her home would still be complete. But, that teeny, tiny ball of brown, that split off that branch, would make all the difference in the world.

Further and further it fell, faster than the wind, and as noiseless as the bird, it came from the sky, and laid to rest among the tall this grass far below.

Months passed. And there, it sank, below the sun, below the greens and the golds, and into the soft, fertile soil below.

The sun began to tilt, and along with the leaves of the trees, the seasons began to turn. The fields whispered songs of gold, and the forest floor was bathed in red. The nest which the mother bird had so diligently watched over, was abandoned, her eggs long hatched, and babies, gone their own way.

The nights grew longer, and the air, like the edge of a knife, was sharp, and cold as a razor. And at long last, snow fell, and the world was bathed in white.

Time grew on, and not but the light tracks of a deer or winter jack, showed any sign of life. Only when the sun began to turn once again, did the glade awaken once more.

The rolling hills of snow began to disappear, and below, the fields were born once more. Buds sprouted from the long tree limbs, and spring began once again.

     Though, far below, something stirred...

February and March rolled by, carrying on their backs the great spring rains, dousing everything below, and breathing life into a sea of flowers, sending the sweet scent of narcissus and hyacinth rolling across the hills, and through the valley floor.

April came, and a storm, of which the likes of had never been seen before, and would never be seen again. Water poured from above for days, lightning flashed, and the winds turned the fields to a foaming sea of grass, dirt, and debris.

     Two weeks passed.

And then, in the dark of the night, the clouds broke, and parted, to reveal, the full seed moon.

It was then, in the light of the moon, and the damp of the earth, that the seed, began to grow. All along the center of the coarse, brown shell, a fine line appeared, growing slowly at first, then faster, as the moon's light blue rays, touched the pale, white leaves within.

Roots broke from the bottom, while the small sapling above grew. No more than the size of the twig it had fallen from so long ago, the very first tendrils of branches began to reach out. In an hour, the feeble sapling had grown to the size of a five year old pine, and after two, it far above the reach of a man.

The moon sank low beyond the horizon, and from the east, the first peaks of gold shone between the trees.

At last, the sun broke free, and shed light on the spectacle below.

There, among a thousand sparkling drops of dew, upon the tallest of hills, stood a great, white tree.

The Snow Moon, Happy New Year :)

The rain outside fell steadily, drenching the trees, and soil below, creating little streams, and washing away the dust and dirt of so many months past. No more than a whisper of wind, rustled the dripping leaves, and all around, the world was silent, save for the magickal sound, of rain. Hours passed by, the sky grew dark, and all around the bustle of homes began. Windows and curtains were shut and drawn, and in the dying light, the gentle ebb of wood stove smoke, could be seen rising from above the forest abodes. Time moved on, and the fresh smell of pine from the trees, mixed with the rain and smoke, picked up the scent of food being cooked, warm, home cooked meals, fitting for the storm all around. Beans cooked on the fire, corn bread and soup, hot sandwiches and cider, and cocoa to boot. The woods grew thick with their collective aromas, until at last the first lights, began to click off. At first, one home, and then two, more and more followed, until at last, the world, was completely dark. And the tap, tap, tap of rain, finally began to die away, ever so slowly. So slowly it went, that had one even been awake, they never would have noticed, until it was gone. The leaves grew quiet, and save for the last, little drips, the world was calm.

The night darkened even further, and with the rain now long gone, the temperature, dropped. Like a stone into water. A fragile frost began to form along the rims of the tree's leaves, and the grass below, grew white, yet still the world was dark. From far above, the cloud rolled by, bearing one final gift, for the world below. At last, the first speck of white, was seen. Twirling, ever so softly slowly, from the sky, swaying, this way, and that, before finally settling on a lone blade of frozen grass, on the very tip.

Hundreds more fell from the sky, like stars returning to retrieve their fallen brethren. The silence was broken only by a gentle.. pat...pat....pat... As the flakes slowly blanketed the world in snow. The grass soon disappeared, and the treetops turned white, followed at last by the roofs of all the homes, leaving only a small hole, where the chimney lay. At last, the world was clean, buried in a sheet of pure white, and at last, the clouds began to part. Revealing behind their shadowy veil, the full, November moon, the moon, made of snow.

Short Epilogue::
The clouds passed away, and at last, the moon was free, allowed to turn her gaze on the world below, and see what had been given to her. The ground shone white, beneath her cool, blue rays. And every small crystal of snow, like diamonds in the sea of the sky, reflected. The trees glistened, and the world shone, anew.

Tree of Life

Today I just thought i'd share a small picture I created using particle arrays. I've been considering writing a passage around this, but can't seem to settle on exactly what to say lol :) We'll see. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy :)

Misc passage No. 10

A small little incomplete passage :) I fully intend to finish this one, and give it a title :) But I thought i'd share it anyways :) I hope you enjoy :)

A cold autumn breeze drifted through the forest.Unabashed and unchallenged, it swished it's way through the now bare trees, chilling their bark, and leaving a frost on the fallen leaves below. The sky was gray, and not a soul was to be found. Squirrels, long buried in their nests in preparation for winter, were nowhere to be seen. The geese had long ago flown south, and the once frog, and cricket filled pond, was now silent, and a thin layer of ice, polished the surface. The path that had once made its way through the woods, was lost, buried under a blanket of leaves, and every trace of human activity, had gone. Save for a small, quietly crackling fire, amidst the woods. Nothing more than a small pile of sticks and twigs, the tiny light, gave off little heat. Around it, the leaves had been cleared back, and a flattened rock, cleared of any debris. On this sat an old man, his hands pressed close to the flames, soaking up any heat that was being given off. Beside him, in the nearest, old oak tree, perched a crow, no younger than the man. Each appeared to be well worn, the bird, having many a ruffled feather, carried a hint of gray, all across her coat, while the man held his share of time's lines.

Three Claps, And a sigh.

The skies grew dark as a roll of clouds moved north, casting blotchy, rippling shadows along the grass as it swayed and danced back and forth, caught in the coming storm's wind. A roll of thunder caught the hills, and boomed down into the valley. and then, the first drop of rain, fell. Followed by another, and another, until all around there was a steady cascade, falling from the sky. The clouds rolled on, the grasses below now boiling in the winds. And the light rain, rose back from the ground, in a sickly wave, for as soon as it fell, the tiny droplets, were consumed by the hungry soil, and spat back out by the heat, into the sky. down and up it came, first as rain and then as fog, until the whole mountainside was muggy, and dank. A great flash of light, followed by a roar, and the second crash of thunder had passed, only to be followed by an even greater sum of light, as a fire sprung from the bluff where the lightning had stung. Through the waving grass it roared, eagerly devouring the dry blades, its flames high in the air one moment, and then gone the next. Wind tossed the burning sea to and fro, in a symphony of chaos and wonder, until, in a way that one would think the sky itself had split open, a final clap of thunder, shook the hills, and the sky, poured. Torrential rains hailed from the sky, and drenched the parching lands below. The once bright flames were doused, and all the heat in the air was dropped. On and on it poured, soaking the land, and turning the cracked, dusty fields into a marsh, while all around the ash from the fire was swept away. Small rivers formed, and carried the surging waters across the land, until all was as it had been once before. Slowly the rain began to dwindle from the sky, until it was nothing more than a mist, and finally gone. And as the clouds rolled by a speck of sun broke through, followed by his brethren, until the sky was blue once again, and the fields of green, shimmered in the sun, as they swayed in the breeze below.

A little bit different than my usual style, but I hope you all enjoyed anyway :)

Fall

A quiet gust of wind, rustled through the night, sending leaves fluttering from the trees, and causing their branches to sway, ever so softly. Across the darkness it raced, darting between houses and cars, until it reached an open window, still lit, and darted in. All around the room the cool rush of wind crept, until finally reaching the source of light. A small computer monitor flickered in the darkness, and the one in front of it, shivered, caught by the sudden gust of cool wind, and wished silently for a small coat, to cover their exposed arms with. A small orange cat purred, contentedly curled up on its own personal heating pad, a human's lap, while another slept at it's feet, silently cursing the one who had gotten the warm place in the room.

Teardrop Necklace

Merry meet! :) My sincerest apologies for not posting the past few weeks, but it's been an extremely, highly hectic month, new jobs lost jobs closed businesses, essentially, about 0 seconds a day to carve lol :) So, today, I thought, even though I haven't done any new works in a good 2 weeks, that I might share something with you all :) The necklace in the image to the left is one that I wear every day, it was one of my first ones I ever made :) Though I absolutely adore the color, and it is, by far, one of the best types of soapstone I have worked with to date. It's the same kind as my personal pendulum as a matter of fact, as well as one other that I gave away as a gift :) I no longer have any of the tops like the one on it though, I now have some absolutely gorgeous silver leaf ones :) I am also hoping that, perhaps this weekend, if everything stays at bay (Fingers crossed), that I will be able to complete the soapstone oil burner I have been working on for a while :) I initially began it quite some time ago but got interrupted, if everything goes as planned I'll put up a picture of it when it's complete here :) Until then :) Best wishes :)

A new direction....

Merry Meet everyone! :) I know I know ;) For those of you following my page on facebook, I dropped the ball and said that I'd be posting Sunday morning, Unfortunately, I hadn't accounted for missing my alarm, and sleeping to 30 minutes before I was set to work 8 hours on a moving job, 2,200 pounds of metal equipment and paper products, I came home and passed out lol, followed by 2 days of work after that, and, my supply shipment order had gotten delayed, which is never any good lol :) it should arrive within the next week or two, and we're back in business! But! All that aside! Here we go! I know some of you may be disappointed, but, this has truly always been my original intention for this webpage :) Zazzle.com was just a start, to put my foot in through the door, and to get myself a little established before looking on to greater horizons :) And what is that greater horizon? Well, it goes like this, my ultimate goal is to become a published author, in the grand scheme of things, that is my final (hopeful) end result. But we all know of course, one can't just walk in, drop a stack of papers on one's desk and say "Publish me" Lol :) So we started small :) First eclectic little posts, followed by 2 months of doing Zazzle (Now no worries, I won't be stopping doing that, it will mainly be on request now though, but I'll still do one from time to time, I really do love working with them.), And now, Finally, beginning my business, selling home made, hand crafted, soapstone pendulums and necklaces :) The one you see in the upper left, is the first pendulum I have ever made :) It is still my personal pendulum, and I use it all the time. I receive my soapstone in semi - large shipments, about a medium flat rate box worth, of solid soapstone blocks, from these, I cut a small block, which is then slowly shapened down by hand, using small metal serrated files, and finally sanded, using finer and finer grit, until all traces of scratches are gone, polished, and secured, I attach the chain. :) While I must admit I am not extremely good at it yet, and of course my personal pendulum doesn't have it, I can also engrave designs into the sides of the pendulum :) I have a general idea on cost/pricing. All products will be on request only of course :) I can do specifics, and you can message me here with any questions or concerns (or suggestions! Always welcome!) tthefox48madoran@gmail.com   I will be of course publishing new designs at least once a week, providing the weather holds, generally speaking I only get to work in the afternoons, and trust me, carving in 98 degree weather, notttt that fun lol :) So there we are! From here if things work out, I will be moving on to looking for publishers! :) Until then though! Hoping to hear from each and every one of you :) Blessed be :)

Water Nymph Mousepad

Merry meet everyone! :) As you can see I'm quite thrilled to finally have photoshop back! :) Today's second post in the Mater Nymph Mousepad :) I chose this picture not only because it is absolutely gorgeous, but because it was so small :) I've been meaning to get resolution resetting down pat for some time now, and I figured you can't get better without practice :) So, Here we are! It is still quite a bit lower than I had hoped for, But I do believe I forgot to do a step somewhere along the lines in there :) I've been self taught since week 2 of acquiring photoshop. I found it so fun to just explore the tools and their capabilities on my own I never really stopped and got around to formal learning lol, suffice to say those first 4 weeks or so of pictures were some of the craziest and strangest things you've ever seen, I didn't save many of them, but lets just say a lot of things ended upside, semi clean, and in negative format :) lol :) I hope you all enjoy this new product :) I'll be posting more very soon :)

Night

This was just a little passage I wrote mainly about what I could see around me. It's always good to keep in practice :) And I was relaxed that night, so I grabbed a piece of paper and went for it. It doesn't really have an end, but I hope you'll all enjoy anyways :)

The sky to the east was a pearly black, while the west's line of color, was slowly shrinking, ever smaller, into nothingness. The deep blues, purples and reds, began to disappear. And as the last of the light was finally seen to be gone, the whole of the earth, finally, began to cool. Where it had been in the mid 90s but an hour ago, the air caught on a whisper of the wind, turned. Leaves quietly moved in the midsummer night's breeze, but not one made a sound. The town grew still, save for the tiny crackle, barely noticeable, that came drifting up from a yard, in the middle of the urb. There a small fireplace was lit, fueled by downed trees from the yard, lit by the ever dying grass of the town. There, the tiny flames crackled and sparked, eagerly taking in what little to eat they were given. Above the leaves of the bay, lifted, as if by an unknown hand, into the sky, by the heat of the fire. A kitten strolled around the place, hunting for something to play with, young though it was, the kitten was an outdoor cat at heart, and had already grown to its full size, though it had the experience of a child. Still the kitten played and learned, chasing berries as they fell from the tree, pouncing on leaves, and attempting to stalk up on birds, unknowing that her ever anxious tail,  was rattling the brush below, in an constant twitch. The kitten strolled about the fire, slowly growing more and more tired, having played for well over an hour, she finally lay to rest not on the ground, but up upon a wire chair, placed in the yard. There she curled up on her side, eyes afire, sparkling and lit, by the flames before them. Slowly the pit became nothing more than a hollow metal bowl, filled with glowing red embers, all that remained of the once bursting fire. As the stars began to poke their way through the sky the rest of the night woke up, creatures moved from their homes, onto their nightly hunts, and the kitten wandered off, to her own little hole, one where she slept at night, before returning at the dawn to play with the family once again.

Merry meet everyone :)))) Unfortunately I am still fighting to recover photoshop :( Which means that it's close to impossible to create new products, I have, however, been messing around with a few other programs, though I haven't found one i've been able to commit to yet, as i've only been trained in photoshop, and have absolutely no sweet clue where the flippin fade and bend tool is in Gimp. I was however able to create basic level animations, which I found wildly entertaining :) So, unfortunately, No new products yet today :( But I thought you all might enjoy this little gif :) I will see if I can't post a passage sometime later while we wait for photoshop to be recovered :) Thank you all for being so patient ;)

Fairy Magick Necklace

My apologies for not posting for so so long! I recently lost photoshop and have been fighting since to get it back! Unfortunately without it though, it is extremely hard to make products, as I have absolutely no editing or designing software at all other than photoshop, though I was able to create this necklace for you all :) A small yet beautiful little necklace depicting a midnight fairy holding a star :) An absolutely beautiful image, which I happened to stumble across among my files and files of old photos I've worked with, searching for something I'd previously created that would be appropriate for a product :) This little wonder here was my very first experience with heavy duty, intensive reconstruction. From her waist down the image was absolutely ruined, save for her feet and hand, the rest was completely created by scratch over an hour and a half, one of my prouder works :) lol, I thought it came out okay :) I absolutely love fiddling with pictures, especially when someone requests I help them with one :) I do requests by the way ;))))) Just pm me or leave a comment, I'll get back to you as soon as I have the photoshop issues all cleared up ;)))) Until then :)

Three wolf moon, and a darkening sky

Short, but I hope you enjoy :)

Slowly, as night began to fall, the silvery field, turned to a darkened shade of gray, and then finally, into black. All around the world fell to sleep, birds, settled into their roosts, squirrels in their trees and rabbits into their dens. Windows opened to welcome the cooling night air, after the long, summer day's heat, as people wandered around on the porches of their homes, allowed to move freely for the first time since almost when the sunrise began earlier that day. Silently, fireflies made their way through the sky, illuminating themselves only for a moment, then moving onward onto their journey. Slowly but surely the people and flies alike make their ways back into their homes, to settle down for the night, and prepare for the day to come. As the world fell finally, to peace, a gentle fog rolled over the trees, drifting down and covering the fields for miles around in a thick mist, and wetting the blades below, as the moon grew high in the sky. Somewhere, long off in the distance, a wolf called at the moon, and a family of fox, barked in response. Slowly the moon moved toward the middle of the sky, then began its descent beyond the horizon, as the gentle fog turned into a mist, and settled into the grass, leaving a perfect droplet of rain on every stalk, the sky to the east turned a deep shade of purple, as the oncoming sunrise approached.

The Sea

Slowly, the ever darkened sky, began to turn a shade of deep blue. As the stars were slowly taken away, off in the distance, the pitch black of the sea was beginning to be revealed. the sky to the west became a silvery purple, and the east, ever brighter a hue of blue. Slowly but surely the sea grew brighter, light, pushing its way across the heavens, lighting the waves and the sand far below. Further and further it reached, breathing life into all things that it touched. Until finally, low, below the horizon, far across the sea, peaked the nose of the sun. All of a sudden the thousands of stars returned, a million times brighter, shining and flickering their beautiful light all across the land, swimming and moving, as the sun illuminated the bay below it send cascades of light pouring across the land. Shimmering so blindingly bright, that the moment only lasted so long, before it was too strong to be looked upon any further. Higher and higher into the sky it climbed until finally the bay became its shade of light blue once again, its stars long forever gone, a fleeting moment only known to those who had been, or those to come the next time the sun would rise. Slowly the bay filled with early morning watchers, couples to see the sun rise slowly above the horizon, followed by the ones who loved to job in the peaceful, cool still of the morning ocean air. Along side the runners came the bikes, and finally those who would spend their entire day by the sea, playing in the sand. The beach was full, happy cries of children all around, splashing in the water to cool off as the sun rose higher into the sky, and baked the world below. Slowly the shadows began to grow, the parents and children alike began to tire, and started to pack for their long trip home. Slowly but surely, the beach was drained again. Until all that was left was the nighttime walkers, and the few who watched the sun on the opposite side. Finally, the beach was deserted yet again, echoes of the children's laughs dying away, and the only memory of anyone's existence, being washed away by the cool, lapping waves of the sea. Silently, the first coming stars peeked their way through the blackening sky. And the world was dark. Until yet again, came a light from across the bay. A silvery blue. Slowly growing brighter, and as it approached, it seemed, the stars grew in brightness, piercing the silent night sky. Brighter and brighter it grew, until finally another being breached the surface of the sea. The moon, full as can be, finally broke the front of the horizon, and spilled it's cool light all across the bay. Suddenly, as all had been before, the sea was aflame with the light of a thousand stars. And to the lonely souls, who watched the sea below, it seemed as if The entire world, had turned to be the night sky. a Million stars below, danced across the sea, as a billion high above, covered the sky, and all around the world was dark, as the moon climbed high above.

Forest Magick Iphone 3 Case

Welcome! Today's product is the Forest Magick Iphone 3 cover! (Also an Iphone 4 version in store) :) My apologies for not posting any new material the past few days, it hit 95 this weekend and whoo boy! The cats and I were just sacked out on the couch in front of the fan the whole time lol :) It has finally cooled down though, and I've managed to get off my rump this 4th of july evening to give you all something I think you'll like :) Though there really isn't a whole lot to describe, this image is just purely magnificent. That itself is how it caught my eye to begin with lol :) Though I did modify it quite a bit upon acquiring it, I added and edited for hours, one of the more noticeable features would be the shadow of a woman, rising with the spirits from the center of the lake :) I would (and actually most likely will) love to have this as my own Iphone 3g/3gs cover. I'll be setting aside some cash from time to time to pick this up for sure :) as it is absolutely gorgeous :) I hope you all enjoy! :)

Flies...

Ahhh frustration... The simple woes of a writer :)

The fly buzzed and flew around high above, surrounded and confused by what would be, if he had a nose, a pungent smell, mint, mint therapy for feet for that matter actually. Sprayed from a small silver can from the being far down below. The fly rubbed its feet together and cleared behind its eyes once again; "Why did that thing spray at me?" It wondered. It's legs were starting to twitch, he'd been sitting too long and he knew it, Off he flew, much better. Quietly at bliss, the humming of his wings ever constant behind him. Ahhh, Then, out of nowhere, *Whap* Struck from the sky, panicked, the fly flew in frantic zig zag patterns up into the sky, trying desperately to avoid the danger. Frustratedly, the small cat settled down on her haunches and watched as her prey flew off into the sky. Round and round the trio went, buzing by the computer, *Spray* Up through the webs, The fly being caught momentarily in a daddy long leg nest, only to break free in a second, sending the daddy long leg running out, then grumbling back into its hold to see its net devoid of any prey. Then past the cat, who would take a halfheartedly swing at the thing then send it on its way. Round and round they went, spray, buzz, tangle, smack run. Round and round, the man in bed slowly growing more and more frustrated at the increasing amounts of interruptions, suddenly, the buzzing stopped, and everyone looked around. And two flies came flying out of nowhere. The man grumbled and shut his laptop and light off, and rolled over in bed to go to sleep, as the cat growled and the fly laughed its tiny laugh, the night went on, and the rest of the world slept. Twas the night before christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, save for a cat, a fly, and the nous.
